Timothy J. Morris, SIOR, CCIM – Principal
Tim is an experienced engineer and senior executive with excellent financial, organizational and systems expertise. He has been in the real estate development profession for over thirty (30) years. Prior to forming Academy Development Partners, (ADP), he was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Corvus International a privately held real estate development company. In addition to managing the day to day operations Tim directed Corvus’ national and international real estate transactional and development efforts for all governmental, education, retail, industrial and high-rise residential projects. He has personally overseen the financing and development of over one billion dollars USD of development and consulting projects on a global basis. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and he also completed all coursework for his MBA from Boston University.
Scott R. Woosley, CFA – Principal
Scoot is responsible for Academy Development Partners, (ADP) strategic direction as a firm. Additionally, he oversees all the firm’s investment activities, client relations and is the Chair of ADP’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining ADP, Scott was a Principal and Founder of Labor Management Fund Advisors, (LMFA). He has over twenty-five (25) years of financial and investment experience. In 2012 Mr. Woosley as asked by Michigan Governor, Rick Snyder to serve as Executive Director of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, an organization with a $3.5 billion dollar USD balance sheet, a $250 million USD annual budget and over 250 employees. He served as the Authority’s Executive Director through July 2014 before returning to the private sector. Prior to forming LMFA, Scott was managing director and portfolio manager for a one billion plus dollar USD commingled real estate fund that specialized in financing construction and providing permanent take out financing for office, industrial, retail and residential projects throughout the globe.
Glen H. Bleau – Chief Financial Officer
After graduating from The University of Michigan in Flint, Michigan in 1994 with a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, Glen spent his next seven (7) years in public accounting, where he increased his financial knowledge and fine-tuned his tax and auditing abilities. He joined Corvus International in 2001 and brought with him a plethora of business knowledge and cost saving ideas. Glen oversaw the accounting of Corvus International’s property management, holdings and construction divisions. Glen directed Corvus’ national and international financial and accounting work. His responsibilities include development of feasibility and financial analysis; all project related accounting, banking relationship management, and quarterly reporting to all investor clients. With over a billion dollars in project value throughout the globe, Glen and his Team ran a finely turned machine ensuring that all projects are on budget. He was directly involved with all acquisitions from the due diligence phase to final closing. Glen has an exceptional eye for detail, and utilizes it in the preparation of quarterly financial statements and reports for all entities. Strategizing with outside accountants, Glen has been able to minimize the tax burden to the partners and take advantage of favorable tax laws. He was an integral part of the company, developing and maintaining relationships with bankers, property owners and vendors.”
Michael C. Stratos – Portfolio Manager
Mike is responsible for identifying, negotiating and structuring transactions and also sits on Academy Development Partners (ADP), Investment Committee. Mike joined ADP after working with Labor Management Fund Advisors, (LMFA) since 2004. He has over twenty-five (25) years of investment and asset management experience. He works with developers, contractors and lenders in conjunction with the acquisition of projects throughout the United States and abroad. Mike as structured and analyzed real estate investments that include limited partnerships, syndications, joint ventures and other entities to acquire, hold, develop, manage or otherwise deal in real property interests. Since 1983, Mike as overseen the financial analysis, acquisition, management and disposition of over one billion dollars USD of real estate. Mike previous positions include Vice President of The New Boston Fund, Senior Regional Manager with the Union Labor Life Insurance Company and Regional Acquisitions Manager with the United Dominion Realty Trust.
John L. Davis – Principal
John is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and actively involved in real estate management and development for over thirty (30) years. John comes from a real estate family in Arlington, Virginia where he gained early experience in multi-family construction and management and since, expertise in development, financial workouts, REO, foreclosure and risk management. He enjoys flying, mentoring and helping his children navigate the challenges of their generation.
Larry D. Lipa, AIA – Principal
Larry has over twenty-five (25) years of commercial real estate development experience. As a Principal in Corvus International prior to joining Academy Development Partners, (ADP), he was responsible for the development, expansion and management of the company’s portfolio of commercial and residential properties in North America, having a market value in excess of one billion dollars USD. Cumulatively, Larry has developed, owned and management over 25,000,000 square feet of office, industrial and residential properties globally including several high-rise condominium towers, oceanfront luxury estates, large scale single-family land development and governmental sponsored affordable housing projects. Larry has a B.S. Degree in Architecture and an MBA, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His license to practice architecture from the State of Michigan was earned in 1983.
David M. Zarnoch, Ph.D. – Portfolio Manager
David has over forty (40) years of diversified financial and banking experience and is a member of Academy Development Partners, (ADP) Investment Committee. Prior to joining ADP, Dave has served as the Chief Acquisitions Officer for Labor Management Fund Advisors, (LMFA) for the past ten (10) years and has been responsible for over one billion dollars USD in real estate investment in all regions of the United States. He was the Senior Vice President and Director of Commercial Lending for Michigan National Bank. As a senior executive, he directed more than three-hundred (300) employees in the management and growth of a $4.5 billion dollar USD loan portfolio, which included over $1.5 billion dollars USD of commercial real estate loan assets. He formulated and implemented policies in all aspects of commercial lending, as well as directing all sales and marketing activities, business and new product strategies and client contact efforts. In addition to his banking and financial experience Dave was also a Principal of the Federal Broadcasting Company in Michigan. Federal was involved in the acquisition, operation and eventual sale of seven network-affiliated television stations.
